Free the Pill Day 2023

Free the Pill Day, celebrated by our movement every May 9 since 2019, recognizes the day the US Food and Drug Administration approved the very first birth control pill in 1960. And THIS YEAR, it also marks the beginning of the agency's two-day advisory committee meeting to review the first-ever application for an over-the-counter birth control pill in the country!

Join us on social media all day long by following and using #FreeThePill to share why you want to free the pill. And mark your calendars for our Tweetstorm from 1-2pm ET.
